Daily Fluency

Conversation circles for adults who hate roleplays.

Sixty-minute evenings in small groups of six. We talk about real things — news, films, Malaysian dramas, awkward social moments — and the mentor catches the small fixes that turn careful English into easy English.

The format

The conversation you wish your office had.

Each circle meets twice a week — Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays — at 20:30 MYT. The mentor opens with a one-page sheet, usually a short article, a film clip, or a piece of Malaysian news. Six learners join, with the camera on if they like.

You don't have to prepare. The mentor's job is to keep the conversation moving and to take careful notes of phrases that almost worked — they go into a written recap delivered the next morning.

It is not a one-to-one course and won't replace exam preparation. It's the right programme if you want to stop freezing and to get used to thinking in English at conversational speed.

A typical evening

Sixty minutes, four movements.

Open

The mentor previews the article or clip in two minutes. Each learner gets to react in one sentence — the warm-up nobody is afraid of.

Dig in

Twenty-five minutes of real discussion. The mentor steers, follows up, asks "what did you mean by…", quietly notes phrases.

Notice

Ten minutes on the three or four phrases the mentor pulled out — kinder ways to say what you tried to say.

Wrap

A short closing question — "what's one thing you'll tell a friend about?" — and the mentor records a wrap audio for the recap.

★★★★★
"After two months in Rosa's Wednesday circle I noticed I'd stopped translating in my head. The conversations are real and the recaps are short enough to read on the bus home."

"I joined nervous and stayed because the people in my circle are genuinely interesting. The mentor never made anybody feel small for a wrong word."
AM Adam M. Designer, KL

"Three of us from the same circle now meet for coffee on Saturdays. We don't even speak English the whole time, but we know we can if we want to."
